Retiree – Important Enrollment Information:

This is a CHANGES ONLY enrollment; therefore If you are not making any changes to your and/or your dependents’ current Cigna (non-Medicare) Healthcare benefit, you DO NOT need to return an enrollment form.

If you would like to make changes to your current Cigna ( non-Medicare) Healthcare benefit or cancel your coverage and/or your dependents’ coverage, you must complete a 2020 Health Benefits Open Enrollment form and return it by the enrollment deadline of March 13, 2020.

The enrollment period for School Board sponsored Medicare Group Healthcare plan has ended. For questions regarding your Medicare healthcare plan or to cancel your participation, you must contact the Medicare healthcare company directly.

If you were eligible to enroll in flexible benefits and elected benefits, the Enrollment Summary Report you received confirmed your enrollment for the 2020 plan year. At this time, the 2020 Flexible Benefits only enrollment period has ended.

All retirees selecting medical for family must submit dependent eligibility documentation, if not previously submitted for all covered dependents. Submit your documentation with your enrollment form in the provided return envelope, via fax at (305) 995-1425 or by EFax at (877) 432-2939.
If we do not receive your enrollment form, the following will occur:

Your and/or your dependents’ current Cigna (non-Medicare) healthcare coverage will continue.

Your current adult child healthcare coverage will continue; however, every year you must submit proper dependent documentation establishing the eligibility of your adult child. Your completed adult child documentation must be received by March 13, 2020.
Dependent Coverage:

You can add your eligible dependent(s) during this enrollment period and you will have to submit dependent documentation for each dependent.

If you are covering your dependent(s), you must indicate your dependents’ Social Security number and provide documentation of proof of eligibility, if not previously submitted during the 2020 Flexible Benefits Only enrollment. Failure to submit the required dependent eligibility documentation will result in the termination of your dependent’s coverage.

You can terminate your dependent coverage, but you will not be able to re-enroll the dependent until the next Open Enrollment provided you have maintained your enrollment in a School Board sponsored healthcare plan.

You and your dependent(s) must be enrolled in the same Cigna (non-Medicare) healthcare plan.
